The Formula E series was launched for the 2014-15 season, featuring similar body styles to the single-seaters in Formula One Racing. In the 2019-2020 season, Formula E was granted an FIA World Championship, showcasing the electric hybrid-drive cars. Alexander Sims, a British racer, joined Mahindra Racing for the 2020-21 season after switching from BMW, where he had raced for the two seasons prior. Currently in the 8th season, Mahindra Racing continues to push the competition forward with the Gen2EVO of the Spark SRT05e.
